Thanks for checking out poliRhetoric. Simply put, a blog about words. I’ve always found the topic of words themselves very interesting – how they enter our lexicon, their cultural origins and how they fit into, and shape history. For me, history always had been about dates and places. It wasn’t until I saw a list of neologisms by year that I fully understood our accounts of history were as much about the language used to explain an event, as the event itself. That’s what this blog is all about – the confluence of language and history.
